YOU are loved.

People may say that I am A dreamer.
When I say that we are all loved.
That I am a true believer,
And That God sent his Son from above.

People, they'll ignore us
Laugh at us and call us names.
But we know that there is a God
And that he is better than wealth, fortune or fame.

Though those things hurt us,
We can bounce back and above.
Not letting those words get to us.
Because we know that we are loved.

Then we will get that feeling of accomplishment.
Knowing that some one is always thinking of us.
Knowing that when on time on earth is spent,
Heaven will be our stop on the bus.

Though we will go through pain,

A Word from Wade...

I am in Orlando for the Exponential Conference... which is a conference on church planting.

While I don't agree with every view or position that a speaker may have, I am EXCITED to be at this event!! I'm praying that God will use this time to stretch me and form me to be more like Christ. I'm also praying that I will learn how to be a better church planter.

I have already been blessed just by hanging out with other church planters and talking to them. I'm looking forward to the sessions starting today!!

An Awesome Night...

We had an awesome night at church last night. Restoration Christian Church is coming together and God is doing some awesome things among us.

Last night we celebrated our first baptism as a church!! Matt Tomlinson was baptized into Christ.

We had been studying the book of Acts in the Bible on Sunday nights. It was after one of those study groups that Matt came up to Wade and said, "You really do need to be baptized, don't ya?" Wade simply said, "Yes. That's what they did back then. That's what we need to do now." So last night Matt made that decision and went all in with Jesus Christ.

It was cold in the pool... but it was worth it!! =)

We also had Micah Stephen and his wife Crystal with us last night. Micah came and led worship for us. I was nervous about how it would go because we had NEVER had singing at our group meetings. But Micah came in and did a good job leading and the singing was GOOD!!!

God is blessing us so much.

It really was an awesome night...

A Word from Wade...

I've just spent the last 2 days in Indianapolis attending the National Preaching Summit. I LOVE the Preaching Summit. It is a great time hanging out with some good friends who are also preachers. It's become an annual tradition for myself and Darrel Land, Matthew Sullivan, Michael Luke, Bryan Sanders, and Ryan Heathco. Plus this year my dad was able to join us! I also come away from the preaching summit with a renewed passion to preach. I want to be the best communicator I can be for the Lord. Can't wait for next year!!

I wore short sleeves and sunglasses outside today. It was NICE!!!

I'm very excited about the church plant in French Lick. Granted there are a lot of obstacles to overcome, but I know this is an opportunity that God has given me to do something I've always wanted to do. I'm really enjoying getting to know the people there and building relationships. Great things are on the way!!

I'll be doing some traveling and speaking in the coming weeks. Next weekend I speak at the GAP Fest in Hilliard, Ohio. I'm looking forward to being on that program and encouraging guys to preach. Then I also have a revival coming up the last week of March in Hollybrook, Virginia. Looking forward to being with Jim Conley (a former professor of mine) and his church.

Busy times... but life is GOOD. :-)

Prayer Update!!

We had another good Bible study last night at Restoration Christian Church!!

Last night we talked about dealing with opposition by studying Acts 5:17 – 42. We see that the apostles are faced with opposition from the religious authorities and told not to preach in Jesus’ name. However, the church appeals to a higher authority and says that they must obey God rather than please people.

Restoration Christian Church is a church that appeals to a higher authority. We desire to be a people that obey God rather than seek to please people.

We understand that as followers of Christ we will experience opposition. After all, Jesus faced opposition. But we fix our hope in Him and trust that while the world may oppose us, Christ is for us. And if He is for us… who can be against us?!?!

Thank you for praying for our church plant. Here are a few requests I would ask you to keep in your prayers daily…

Pray for our core group development. We have close to 30 people involved in our core group Bible study. Pray that we will continue to grow in our love for God and our love for people.

Pray for a facility conducive to our church needs. We are currently meeting in a home for our Bible study. We are asking God to provide a place that would allow us to hold Bible studies and youth classes throughout the week (in addition to our home Bible studies).

Pray for financial support. We need the support of others as we begin RCC. If you are able to help support Restoration Christian Church with either a one-time gift or regular monthly support, please send you gifts to PO BOX 11, French Lick, IN 47432.

RCC UPDATE!!

On Sunday night, February 13, there were 19 present for our Bible study. 8 of these 19 were first time attenders!!

We also had 8 children participating in a lesson in another room of the house.

Please continue to pray for Restoration Christian Church. The church oversight team will be meeting next Thursday, February 24. Pray for wisdom and God's guidance for our church!

WINTER WORSHIP & WORKSHOP...

Last week, Wade Allen spent several days in Pigeon Forge, TN at the Barnabas Ministries annual Winter Worship & Workshop. This is a very encouraging program that Barnabas Ministries hosts every February.

Restoration Christian Church had a disply set up to inform people about our new work taking place in French Lick. There was a lot of positive feedback and several were interested in partnering with RCC to help make it become a reality.

First Sunday Night Bible Study!

Restoration Christian Church held its first official small group Bible study on Sunday night, January 30th. We met at the home of Matt & Tina Pierce.

There were 16 adults/teens at the first study... with several children having a lesson in another room of the house.

What a great start for our church!!
Please continue to pray that God would guide us in this new evdeavor.

Dear friends,

The community of French Lick has undergone a physical restoration in recent years. Investments have been made. Buildings have been expanded. Updates have been completed. But for many people, there is still a greater need in this community. That need is to experience a spiritual restoration.

This is why the dream of Restoration Christian Church exists.

There is a simple reality that I am praying about. That reality is this:

French Lick does not need another church…

it needs a different kind of church.

My dream is that Restoration Christian Church would be that church.

I see Restoration Christian Church as a place where people are loved unconditionally. A place where being real is the expectation. A place where meaningful answers can be found to life’s questions. A place where second chances are given. A place where true restoration can take place.

I have a dream to plant a church in French Lick that will launch a spiritual restoration. In fact, that is the vision I have for the church.

My vision for Restoration Christian Church is simply:

To be a church that launches a spiritual
restoration in our community.

This involves restoring lives by introducing people to Jesus Christ. HE is the One who truly restores.
This involves restoring relationships with one another.
This involves restoring the church to be the community God intended for it to be.

I pray that many lives will be restored through the efforts of Restoration Christian Church. I also pray that you will join in these efforts to launch a spiritual restoration in our community.

If God is for us, who can be against us?
